Over 20,000 teachers assigned one month before the school year begins
The Ministry of Education announced the placement of over 20,000 teachers, with increased internal mobility compared to the previous year.
On Friday, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MECI) announced that more than 20,000 teachers have been assigned to schools for the upcoming academic year. This figure represents an increase of 1,505 teachers compared to 2025.
According to information from MECI, the vast majority of allocated teachers were placed through internal mobility, indicating a growing trend in this type of arrangement. Additionally, internal mobility recorded an increase of nearly 10% compared to the previous year.
This year, the assignment of teachers took place one month before the start of the school year, allowing schools to better prepare to welcome students.
