Drone strikes target Khartoum and other Sudanese cities
A coordinated attack by the Rapid Support Forces took place on Wednesday, following several months of relative calm in Sudan.

On Wednesday morning, drone strikes targeted Khartoum as well as two other cities in northern Sudan, marking an escalation of hostilities in the country. Reports indicate that these attacks appear to be coordinated by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
This offensive comes after several months of calm in the conflict between the RSF and the Sudanese army, which has been ongoing since April 2023. The situation remains tense as violence flares up again in the region.
