Back to school: 5% drop in supply sales in July

Sales of school supplies fell by 5% in July compared to the previous year, according to the Association of Paper and Office Supply Manufacturers (AIPB). This trend is observed despite a slight decrease in product prices, which could indicate a more complex market situation.

However, the AIPB emphasizes that the current results are not yet representative of the back-to-school season in 2026. The association notes that the remaining weeks of sales could potentially reverse this current trend.
