Petition calls for the expulsion of the U.S. ambassador from Canada
A petition signed by nearly 30,000 Canadians will be presented to Parliament calling for the expulsion of the U.S. ambassador.
A petition has been launched to demand the expulsion of the U.S. ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra. According to Le Journal de Montréal, tens of thousands of people have supported this initiative.
The leader of the Green Party, Elizabeth May, will present this petition to Parliament. Radio-Canada reports that the petition accuses Ambassador Hoekstra of making remarks harmful to diplomatic relations between Canada and the United States.
