Ana María Saavedra, the only survivor of the triplets, recovering after earthquake

Ana María Saavedra, the only survivor of the Saavedra triplets, is in the process of recovery following the earthquake in Colombia that caused the collapse of the building where she lived with her parents and two sisters. In light of this event, her family has shared that her survival involves not only rehabilitation for her injuries but also confronting the painful loss of the four people with whom she shared her daily life.

The 23-year-old is being treated at a care center in Cali, where she recently underwent pelvic surgery. During her treatment, Ana María expressed her desire to live and her faith that she has a greater purpose, stating, "Doctor, I need to live because God has great things in store for me."
