Democratic senators have requested information regarding the living conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, which has been on mission for over 200 days, setting a record.
According to a report, there have been reports of food shortages, contaminated water, and a deterioration in the mental health of the crew, with families reporting alleged suicide attempts by sailors.
The soldiers' wives stated that the sailors express fear and concern about the possibility of being discharged dishonorably, adding that some of them have attempted to jump overboard. There are therefore strong fears regarding the mental well-being of the crew members.
