The Trump administration has launched accusations against the European Union, claiming that it is helping China evade U.S. tariffs through an international network for re-exporting goods. These assertions arise amid ongoing trade tensions between the United States and its key partners, including the European bloc.

The statements come four months after a visit to Beijing by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, where nineteen agreements on economic, technological, and trade cooperation were signed between Spain and China, reinforcing bilateral relations at a critical time in trade negotiations.

Additionally, Trump has indicated that tariff evasion results in significant losses for the U.S. economy, estimating an annual loss of up to $26 billion, which exacerbates ongoing trade tensions.
