Over 500 Fake MHA Websites Taken Down Without Evidence of Scams
The Home Team Science and Technology Agency identified and removed over 500 fake websites impersonating official agencies.
On August 10, the Home Team Science and Technology Agency identified more than 500 fake websites that were impersonating the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and its agencies. Investigations were conducted following the discovery to determine the intent behind these sites.
According to the ministry, as of August 12, there has been no evidence to suggest that these fake websites were involved in scams or attempts to phish for personal information from the public.
