Mexico clarifies Colombia's refusal of military rescuers after earthquake

Mexico has clarified that its military rescue brigade was unable to enter Colombia following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake. According to reports, the refusal was due to the need to meet specific certification requirements, which were not fulfilled in this case.
The clarifications come from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, in response to communication from Colombia's National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, which stated that it only accepted search and rescue support from four countries: Israel, the United States, El Salvador, and Ecuador.
