Mass slaughter of pigs in the Tyumen region
In the Tyumen region, numerous pigs in private farms have been slaughtered due to an unspecified disease outbreak, while health inspections have been intensified.

Health inspections have been established in the Golyschmanovskiy district of the Tyumen region, where mass slaughter of pigs is taking place in private households. Several localities are affected, including Golyschmanovo, Abatskoye, and Omutinskoye. Local authorities have begun exterminating the animals, offering owners compensation of 90 to 95 rubles per kilogram.
Reports indicate that owners of pigs who refuse to surrender their animals face fines ranging from 30,000 to 35,000 rubles. The disease case was first identified earlier this year; however, authorities have not yet released any specific information about the illness.
