Inflation in Italy: 2.9% Year-on-Year in July, 0.3% Monthly
Istat reports an annual inflation rate of 2.9% in July, slightly up from the preliminary figure of 2.8%.
The National Institute of Statistics (Istat) has announced that inflation in Italy recorded a monthly increase of 0.3% and a year-on-year rise of 2.9% for the month of July. This figure represents a greater rise compared to the preliminary figure of 2.8%.
Data indicates that prices for essential goods have decreased on an annual basis, standing at +1.0%, while core inflation remains steady at +1.6%. An acceleration in price trends is also observed in Germany.
