Firefighters from Moorslede return after combating wildfires in Portugal

Laurens Dejonckheere and Sander Bossuyt, two firefighters from Moorslede, have returned after spending a week in Portugal combating wildfires. Dejonckheere is 35 years old and Bossuyt is 32.

After their time in Portugal, the firefighters plan to return next year to assist with firefighting efforts, if possible. They noted that it was a strange experience to be on-site during the fires.
