Farooq Abdullah Calls for Investigation into Threats Against Kashmiri Pandits

Farooq Abdullah has emphasized the need for an investigation into threats faced by Kashmiri Pandits, urging that their situation should not be taken lightly. He pointed out that individuals from various faiths coexist and work in Kashmir, questioning the specific targeting of Kashmiri Pandits.

Omar Abdullah echoed these concerns, highlighting that last week, numerous Kashmiri Pandit employees were placed on administrative leave until August 25 after a threat letter was circulated. This letter was reportedly linked to the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

In response to the threats, Rakesh Handu, a social activist among the Pandit community, noted that he has communicated with six Pandit employees whose names appeared in the online threat letter, confirming that they have been relocated to Jammu for their safety.
