Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo reaches sixth province
The Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has now reached a sixth province, with over 2,100 deaths recorded.
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it hopes to reverse the upward trend of the Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) within three months.
Meanwhile, the situation has worsened, with the epidemic rapidly advancing and reaching a sixth province in the northern part of the country. This information was disclosed by Jean Kaseya, the director of the African Union health agency.
The outbreak has already resulted in over 2,100 deaths and more than 4,500 confirmed cases, according to data released by Semafor.
The WHO continues to work to control the situation and mitigate the impacts of the outbreak, which could become the largest ever recorded in the DRC.
