Comac C919 completes first international scheduled flight to Beijing

The Comac C919 successfully completed its first international commercial flight on Wednesday, August 12. The Air China aircraft took off from Beijing at 3:17 PM local time and landed in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, at 4:58 PM.

Air China plans to operate the C919 daily on the route between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar. This first international flight represents a significant milestone for China's commercial aircraft program, as it seeks to establish itself beyond the domestic market.

Despite this success, the C919 has not yet received approval from European and American aviation authorities. The Chinese aircraft aims to compete with Airbus and Boeing in the long term, which could lead to further international flights in the future.
