Brussels guarantees energy supply stability despite adverse weather conditions

The European Commission declared that energy supply remains stable despite droughts and heatwaves affecting Europe.

The European Commission stated that the energy supply in Europe is stable even in the face of droughts and heatwaves impacting various regions of the continent. During a press conference held in Brussels, the spokesperson for the European executive, Eva Hrncirova, indicated that the situation is being monitored closely.

According to Hrncirova, the effects of extreme weather conditions are noticeable, but they do not compromise the stability of the energy supply. The Commission continues to assess the circumstances to ensure that energy needs are met.

The statement aims to reassure the public and the markets about the European energy system's response capacity. Although the situation is considered critical by some experts, the Commission dismissed claims that stability is at risk.

The remarks come at a time when several countries in Europe have faced challenges due to drought and intense heat, which have affected energy production in various forms.
