Astrophysicists observe eclipse to study solar corona
The solar eclipse will provide researchers with unique opportunities to study the Sun's corona using advanced technologies.
Lucia Abbo and Gerardo Capobianco from the National Institute of Astrophysics (Inaf) will observe the solar eclipse from an airplane in Ireland. According to Abbo, the phenomenon presents a rare opportunity to study the corona, which is normally obscured by the brightness of the solar disk.
In Padua, specialized equipment, including spectrographs, will be used to map the Sun's corona. According to Sky TG24, specific interventions are planned to maximize the effectiveness of the observations during the eclipse.
