Air India Flight Controls Lost for Four Seconds, Preliminary Probe Reveals

A preliminary investigation by Airbus has revealed that Air India's flight AI2379, which was traveling from Phuket to Delhi, lost flight controls for four seconds. This incident occurred when the aircraft encountered turbulence, leading to a failure in its hydraulic systems.

During this brief period, the autopilot system disconnected, prompting the co-pilot, who was operating the plane, to push the control stick forward after stall warnings were activated in the cockpit. Initial indications suggest that the controls did not respond to the co-pilot's actions.
